When using Saniderm, it’s completely safe to apply in most external areas of the skin.
While you can apply Saniderm to the majority of tattooed areas, there are a few exceptions. Most of these exceptions are in permanent makeup procedures. Areas where the bandage should not be applied would include lips, eyebrows, and eyelids. Aside from these few locations, it is safe and easy to use in other external areas.
It is important to note, however, that areas of high movement—such as ankles, wrists, hands, and feet—do experience more wear and tear than other locations. In these cases, we recommend extending the area around the tattoo, to prevent the film’s adhesive from loosening with activity.
Another relevant factor to keep in mind is that removing the tattoo bandage can be more or less difficult, given the location. Take caution when removing Saniderm in areas of thin, sensitive skin, such as the inner bicep.
Do not use Saniderm if you experience reactions to medical adhesives, such as band-aids, Tegaderm, or similar products.
